The popularity of the Dalai Lama has even Christian people reading his books to find spiritual help. And Christian leaders join forces with him for various high-profile events that seem to promote peace or compassion. It should be enough to know that the Dalai Lama’s path (that is, Tibetan Buddhism) has nothing whatever to do with the Lord Jesus Christ. The goal of the two religions is not the same. But so many people don’t seem to notice that. So I’m offering a chart as a starting point for your own research: “A Comparison: Tibetan Buddhism & Christianity.”
The Dalai Lama might have a delightful recipe for carrot cake or something. But we can’t go to him for spiritual guidance.
